Vera Espíndola Rafael is a social entrepreneur and Agricultural Economist whose work explores how value is created, distributed, and understood across agricultural supply chains. As the founder of Kua’nu – Raíces Agrícolas, she works across research, markets, policy, and education to help producers, businesses, and institutions make more informed decisions. Drawing on experience spanning the private sector, government, international organizations, and producer organizations, her work focuses primarily on the coffee sector. She is also the creator of Sumando Sabiduría, an initiative that democratizes economic knowledge for coffee producers. Her work is driven by one central question: How can agricultural systems create more value for the people whose livelihoods depend on them?
