Coffee Trader, JNP Coffee
Presenter Bio
Barbara Jordan is a coffee professional with over a decade of experience spanning roasting, quality control, and green coffee sourcing. She began her career as a roaster, where she developed a deep appreciation for how coffee transforms in the hands of the people who work with it, from producer to roaster to barista. That perspective led her to build cupping labs and quality systems designed not just to evaluate coffee, but to better connect the people behind it.
As a trader with JNP Coffee, Barbara works closely with coffees from East Africa, focusing on how origin, processing, and community investment translate into roast performance and cup expression. Her work is centered on helping roasters make more informed, intentional decisions while ensuring that the value of these coffees remains connected to the producers and communities they come from.
At Roast Summit, she aims to bring greater clarity and context to East African coffees: bridging history, geography, and sensory experience through guided cuppings and discussion to exploring how shared geography and distinct histories shape these origins.
