Rocky Rhodes is the CEO of International Coffee Consulting, based in Simi Valley, California, where since 2010 he has provided global consulting and training services to the coffee industry, specializing in quality, sourcing, and supply chain development. Prior to this, he owned and operated Rocky Roaster from 1996 to 2009, building hands-on expertise in roasting, business operations, and the specialty coffee market.
A certified Q-Arabica and Q-Robusta Instructor with the Coffee Quality Institute and a certified Specialty Coffee Association instructor, he has taught and consulted in 25 countries across four continents. His work includes leading supply chain projects in Myanmar, organizing international green coffee auctions, serving as Head Judge for major competitions in Thailand and Uganda, conducting industry research for companies such as Georgia-Pacific, training coffee buyers at a Fortune 1000 roasting company, and contributing to the design of large-scale U.S. roasting facilities.
In addition to his industry leadership, Rhodes has served as an elected City Councilman for Simi Valley since 2022, where he helps oversee a $300 million municipal budget, sets strategic direction for economic and infrastructure development, collaborates with state and federal officials, and represents and serves the local community.
