Presenter Bio
Al Liu is the Director of Let’s Talk Coffee at Sustainable Harvest Coffee Importers, where he leads the evolution and expansion of one of the specialty coffee industry’s most respected platforms for dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning. Al joined Sustainable Harvest in early 2024 with a mandate to steward the legacy of Let’s Talk Coffee while growing its impact as a farm-to-roaster information exchange that fosters transparency, equity, and connection across the global coffee supply chain.
With more than twenty-five years of experience in the specialty coffee sector, Al brings deep expertise spanning both the roasting/retail and importing sides of the business. His career has taken him into close collaboration with producers and exporters throughout Latin America, East Africa, and Southeast Asia, and he has been a leading voice on sustainable sourcing and industry engagement.
Al has served two terms on the board of directors of the Specialty Coffee Association of America and was a long-standing member of its Sustainability Council.
